While you may be consuming this as a treat once in a while, for millions and millions of North Americans the majority of their daily consumption of liquids is made up of pop. The fact is Soda pop causes obesity. Coca-Cola is one of the larges corporations in the world and increasing its range of products and strangle hold on the North American consumer. This is one of the top women health concerns out there.
Each can of pop has over ten (10) spoonfuls of sugar, many experts believe that you multiply your chances of being obese by 1.6 for every can of soda pop you drink per day. That means, if you drink just two can of pop a day you are over three times more likely to be obese. Just check out the calorie count on most pops. This stuff is a huge factor in the obesity epidemic that is cursing our society. How many people do you know that drink more than that?
On top of the sugar problem, there actual pop is extremely acidic. This acid eats away at your gums and the enamel on your teeth. It also has been known to cause both stomach and intestine problems.
But I Drink Diet Pop
Well I am sorry to tell you that many researchers believe that diet pop is actually worse for you than normal pop. While it does not contain the sugar that normal pop does, in its place is a compound known as aspertine.
Aspertine is terrible for your body, it slows metabolism to a crawling pace. It has cancer causing ingredients as well. There is actually a 31% higher chance of being obese if you drink diet pop, than if you do not. Many people think that they are doing a good thing for their body by grabbing a diet cola. This is one of the greatest marketing lies in modern day advertising.

What Instead
Well the obvious choice is water. Water is by far the best thing you can consume as a liquid. This is what your body is made of and is fantastic for you. You can also drink real fruit juice, or low fat milk if you need a little variance. How about a tea in the morning or afternoon as well. Even better make it a green tea. Green tea actually has metabolism boosting enzymes built into it. It will actually help reduce your bulge.
The bottom line is, stop drinking soda pop, as soon as possible. Why Soda Pop Causes Obesity. Try for a week not to consume any pop. If this seems hard for you, think about the addiction that the large soda companies have over you. This is not the way you want to live your life.
