What Is The Best Creatine Supplement

Before we dive into what the best creatine supplement is lets first look at what exactly is a creatine supplement what it does for your body and how you should integrate it into your fitness training plans.

Check out my Essential Guide to Creatine

Creatine Supplements

These are athletic aids used to increase hi-intensity performance. Creatine is an amino acid that is created naturally by our bodies, its job in the body is to store energy in the muscles. It is completely safe, and well liked in the natural bodybuilding community.

What Will It Do

Taking a creatine supplement will add a zap to your workout. It will basically increase your muscles strength and endurance and will also increase your recovery rate. It is a great tool to use, in conjunction with your strength and fitness training plan.

When Should You Take It

To be completely honest with you, there is no proof that there is a best time to take creatine. There are two general thoughts on this, to take it an hour before a workout or to take it after your workout. Really either way is fine, since creatine is absorbed and stored by the muscles simply taking it daily should do the trick for you. You want to make sure that your creatine supplement has a high absorbancy rate. MuscleTech Cell-Tech Hardcore, 6.7 Lbs, is one that has the highest in the industry.

How Much Should I Take?

Generally it is recommended to take 5 grams of creatine daily, with a loading phase of 5 days to one week at the beginning where you would take about 20 grams. Once you have done your loading phase you should cut back to 5 grams though. This is because the body can only store so much, so it your are taking too much you will simply be peeing it out.

Also some experts recommend that every two to three months you go off creatine for a couple weeks to give your body a chance to start producing its own creatine at its optimal levels again. After a couple weeks you can go back on a cycle of creatine with no health concerns.

Loading Phase - First 5 Days Consume 20 Grams/Day
Maintaince Phase - 2 to 3 Months 5 Grams/Day
Reload Phase - Stop taking for 2 weeks

Best Creatine Supplement

Our recommendation for a Creatine Supplement is a type called creatine monohydrate, and the one that we like and use at Internet Health and Fitness Database is MuscleTech Cell-Tech Hardcore, 6.7 Lbs(try the grape flavor). We really like this creatine because it has a very high absorbancy rate. It gets into the muscle better than any other we know of. It has won Bodybuilding.com Creatine Supplement of the Year 5 years in a row!
