Bruce Lee Workout

The Bruce Lee Workout is a routine that has to keep the body strong but still very fast, with cat like reflexs. One of the main things that kept Bruce above his competition was the fact that he used muscle building exercises to build his body.

If you look at any of the old martial artists there body's were nothing like Bruce Lee's and that is because of his routine. The workout was intense.

One thing to remember (if you are not into martial arts) is that Lee used to also train hard everyday on his combat training. This provided his hard lean body, if you are not doing hard combat training, try substituting some intense interval training to your routine.

Here is a Bruce Lee Workout Routine,

Clean and press - 2 sets, 8 reps
Wide Grip Pullups - 3 sets of up to 30 reps
Barbell curl - 2 sets, 8 reps
Bench press - 2 sets, 8 reps
Deadlift - 2 sets, 8 reps
Squat - 2 sets, 12 reps

One thing that you may notice about his routine, it is not broken down by bodyparts. Bruce believed in an full body approach to strength training. He would do this routine or a routine much like this 3 or 4 times per week.

The part of the Bruce Lee Workout that really seperates it from the rest is the ab workout. Bruce's abs are insane. If you look at the ab portion of his workout you will know why.

Abs
Hanging Waist Twists - 4 sets, 90 reps
Burpee Jumps - 4 sets of 30 reps
Sit up Twist - 4 sets, 20 reps
Leg Raises - 4 sets, 20 reps

I found this video of Bruce below. I figured you would enjoy watching it. It really shows the power of this man. He was one of a kind!
