I love to build chest muscles; chest day is the favourite day in my muscle building program. I know I’m not alone; chest and bicep workouts are by far the most popular workouts out there. You can’t go to the gym without seeing someone doing bench press of some kind.
They say that the chest is a “glory” muscle. You know one of those groups that you love to show off, and are always judging yourself and others on. Let’s get into some of the best ways to build chest muscles the top exercises and routines to get some killer pecs!
There is one exercise that virtually no chest program could go without. You probably guessed it, it’s the bench press. This is simply the best way to build chest muscles. This is how many people really track their place in the gym. The bench press could be the single most popular exercise out there.

There is no doubt that the chest is one of the muscle groups that most guys really want do develop and really want to work hard. Above are some of the best workouts to build chest muscles and they generally focus on the bench press or a variation of that.
There are three major variations on the bench press, there is the flat bench, the incline press and the decline press. Also with each of these you can do it with a barbell or dumbbell. This makes very easy to actually keep your chest day fresh, changing up the exercises so you keep your body guessing and helps you build chest muscles.
On top of bench pressing techniques, you also have flies. Chest flies are done with a lighter weight then presses, and the movement is different. You are really pulling opening the chest when you do any variation of this exercise and it is a great exercise to finish your chest workout off with because it really incorporates a good stretch along with its muscle building properties.

If you like the routine above you are like me, that’s because I love to work my chest and triceps together, I find this is the best way to build chest muscles and really get the “best burn” out of my workouts. I like doing this because they both use a pushing motion. The exercises that you do really work together if you work your chest and triceps together it is simply one of the best muscle building programs you can do.
But needless to say, that is not the only way to really workout your chest and other muscles. There are going to be people who really want to work their chest, and for those people I recommend doing chest alone on a day all by itself.
