Creating Your Ultimate Core Exercise Program
What is the first thing that you think of when I say core exercise program? Is it situps or crunches?
Perhaps it is some of those crazy infomercials where the person is doing semi circles on some machine; they have a perfect six pack and are smiling the whole time.
Really a good core exercise program is something that is entirely different than that. Doing situps until you cant actually sit upright is not going to get you that six pack.
Your core is literally the link in the chain between your upper and lower body. The best way to effectively work your core is to do something called compound movement exercises.
Number of Muscle Groups
These are exercises that involve a number of muscle groups at a single time. They fire up a ton of different muscles and actually fire your core along the way.

Doing these compound movement exercises are actually the best way to get a great core. You could say that having an effective strength and interval training routine is the best way to actually maximize your core exercise program.
This is the real reason that people that have a great body have to do little in the way of core work.
Getting a six pack is really more about what you are eating rather than doing situps and crunches until your eyes bulge out of your face.
I do recommend doing some core work. Perhaps 10 minute 2-3 times a week. This will focus your abs and actually ensure that they are strong.
But in all honesty until you lose that bulge around your ab muscles you will not get a six pack.
Compound Movements
I mention this a lot on this website, but compound movements are the key to getting a stronger leaner body. Your core exercise program really has to be made up of mainly compound movements.
Really it doesn't matter what part of your body you are strengthening compound movement exercises are the way to go.

Doing this through your strength and interval training programs is the most effecitive way of going about this.
Focus your workouts around strength building compound movements. Exercises like squats and deadlifts for your legs, and bench press, overhead press, rows for your upper body.
Don'f forget about how effecive body weight exercises are, these are key in getting your interval fitness training program up to snuff.
Your interval fitness program is going to really be what causes the lbs to drop off your body like rain droping off a roof.
