The HCG Weight Loss Program Scam Exposed and Discussed
Before you start any hcg weight loss program you need to understand what this is and why it probably isn't going to work for you.
I started to hear about human chorionic gonadotropin or what you probably know it by HCG just a couple months ago. I was immediately worried that this was another too good to be true stories.
I was on a site doing some research for this article, and they were claiming that you could lose 5 pounds a day with a hcg weight loss program.
These are the kind of claims that just can not be true. It is impossible for your body to shed that kind of weight in a safe manner.
Human chorionic gonadotropin or HCG is a hormone that is produced by women during their pregnancy.
It is one of the main components in the uterus which helps the body sustain another life. Needless to say it is a very important part of human life, without it we would not be able to conceive.
But Can You Lose Weight With an HCG Weight Loss Program?
Let me tell you one thing before we even get into this topic. HCG is often used in steroids...
When you combine this with a few other components it makes the body produce a ton of testosterone, which is what steroids do. This will help the body build some serious muscle mass.
Getting back to the weight loss element. The entire HCG weight loss myth is centered around one scientists works.
He did a study on a number of "fat boys" with pituitary problems and actually combined the HCG with a low calorie diet of about 500 calories a day.
A 500 calorie diet is about the lowest amount of food that you could possibly eat a day. HCG will not turn you into a hot supermodel overnight, it is not a end all cure to obesity.
His findings stated that when you combine HCG with this low calorie diet the muscle loss that came along with the diet was much less then the placebo group. So what the hell does that mean?
The Fuel of Your Body
Ok, so you know that when you starve yourself on a low calorie diet, you body is going to look for a fuel source. Most of that fuel is actually converted from lean muscle instead of fat.
Well the doctor in this case found that if you combine a very low calorie diet with HCG you burned less muscle as fuel and more fat.
This may sound good in theory but let me warn you that this is just the weight loss industry trying to sell you on another stupid waste of money.
Many of the HCG drops are very ineffective and lots do not even contain HCG. The ones that do are combined with a scary diet, which forces you to eat less than a thousand calories a day.
This is what actually provides the weight loss, not the HCG. But even if your muscle loss is not as extravagant as it would be it is still there, and these low calories starvation diets are not the right way to lose weight.
Plain and simple the HCG weight loss program is a total myth and is just put together for individuals to lose bucket loads of money not fat!
I would recommend that you do things a bit different! I would like to see you try out a novel approach to weight loss, it is exercise and nutritional dieting...
