Amazing Leg Workouts You Must Involve in Your Fitness Routine

These are the leg workouts that will bring you the absolute best results. You know that male or female a great set of legs is totally necessary to being in great shape.

Think about it, your legs are made up of the largest muscle group in the body, they consume the more calories than any other body part and are also the muscle group that is most commonly left off the schedule.

When you talk about the best leg exercises two immediately come to mind, they are the squat and the deadlift.

These are two of the most effective workouts you can do. They build power, size and are an absolute must if you are looking to get into great shape.

There are also some other really good leg workouts like lunges, calf raises, leg extensions/curls and leg presses that we will look at as well but lets check out the first two, squats and deadlifts first (also see my article on the power exercises) as well.

The Squats

Squats are probably my favourite muscle building exercise. These is one of two the best leg exercises you can do. Now there are a tond of different variations of squats that you can do as well.

My personal #1 is the front squat. This squat is done with the barbell in front of your body instead of behind. It is a great workout for your entire body working really well on your core as well as your legs.

If you are interested in learning a bunch more about the barbell squat, and also learning the 17 tips that will totally lead to increased power and strength with your squats you gotta check this article by my buddy Nick Nilsson.

The Deadlift

The Deadlift is the second big exercise in out leg workouts section. This is something of a catch 22 for me...

I absolutely love doing deadlifts, you can really pack on some poundage, but when I go really hard on deadlifts I can feel it for a couple days. They are that intense.

One thing you need to do is make sure you are using proper form. I can't tell you how bad you can screw your back up if you are not.

I actually saw someone hurt themselves doing this once, and it was not pretty. They were using way too much weight and terrible form. Don't let this happen to you
