The True Power of Mind Body Soul
This is my website which I started building in 2009. Over the last couple years I have learned a ton about fitness through my site but even before I started this site I lived by an underlying principle which I call Mind Body Soul in fact I even have it tattooed on my shoulder.
The basic principle of "Mind Body Soul" is really easy to explain but when we look into it a little deeper I think it becomes more than a simple outlook on life.
For me it has become the way I live my life. I try everyday to build this into my life. Before we get into the underlying principle I think it is important to let you know that I am not a religious person.
I do not think that there is anything wrong with religion, it is just not the way I choose to live my life. The great thing about my Mind Body Soul principle is that this can be used with any religion... Now let's discuss the principle I live by.
I try to improve one of the three aspects of my life every day. Mind Body or Soul. That's pretty simple right.
It doesn't even have to be major improvements, just work in the right direction. So the underlying principle of my life is to simply everyday try and improve some facet of my life Mind Body or Soul.Mind - I try to learn something new every day. I also like to try relearning something that I already knew, or thought I knew. This is an awesome way to get a different perspective.
Almost everything is taught through the eye of the writer, so by reading something by someone else it is a great way to "relearn” something and sometime change you look at it all together.
Body - This one is pretty self explanatory, actually this whole website is dedicated to this section of my principle.
It is actually my favourite part of the triangle. I try to improve my body in some way every day. Often through muscle building, but sometimes through both nutrition and cardio training.Soul - This one is the spiritual section of the principle. As I said earlier I am not a very religious person. If you are, you can add religion into the soul section. For me I try and make sure every day I do something that makes me feel good.
It doesn't matter if that is doing something for a friend or my fiancé or for example today (the day I wrote this page) this was my "soul" portion.
It makes me feel good to share my thoughts, and I love it when others share with me as well.
So there you have it. This is my Mind Body Soul principle to life. It is actually how I live my life on a daily basis.
