Building Muscle Strength Fast

Muscle strength is the key to almost all fitness goals. Almost all activities from bodybuilding to football to yoga to track and field are centered around a muscles building workout. Even if the goal is not to gain size, a strength training routine is important. If your goal is to gain size and strength these tips along with a great muscle strength routine and the right supplements will get you there.

Master the Big Five

The squat, deadlift, bench press, shoulder press, and dips are the best muscle building workout. Chinups and rows are great moves as well, but the focus of your workout should include these big five. Check this page for a more indepth look at these.

Keep Track Of What You Are Doing

Keep a workout journal, with your routine. In it write down your exercises, sets, reps, weight and the fate of each workout. Keep track of your best lifts and the most reps you've done with a certain weight on an exercise. Constantly strive to improve those numbers.

Train With Barbells And Dumbells

The barbell is king and the dumbbell is queen. The other pieces of equipment are nice but not essential. Start your workouts with barbell exercises, like the ones above. Barbells let you load a lot of weight, and lifting heavy is the first step toward getting stronger.

KISS (keep it simple stupid)

Simply focus on raising and lowering your weights in a controlled manner. There is no need to count during your workouts. If you have a good strength training routine and you are increasing your weight you will be building muscle strength. Using correct form and controlling the weight is really all you need to be focusing on.

Don't Overdo It

Try to stick to three or four big lifts per workout. Keeping your muscle building workouts short helps you take advantage of hormonal surges. Keep the workout intense, but you don’t have to be there all day. If you do to much, you can actually over train and lose your gains and results. Remember building muscles strength is the key, not ripping your muscles in half.

Intense Cardio and Interval Training

Cardio is a must if you want to be lean and healthy. The problem is long-distance running break down muscle tissue. To get stronger while getting leaner, do cardio in short, intense bursts. Try interval training like hill sprints. Go to a moderately steep hill and sprint to the top, then walk back down. When you're ready, sprint again. There are many other intense cardio workouts in our library.

Muscle Strength Is Key

Strengthing your muscles is key to most of your fitness goals. So keep up the good work with your muscle building workouts, and if you are interested try supplementing your diet with some great creatine and whey powder. This will help your strength training routine.
