There are a lot of misconceptions out there when it comes to weight loss. A lot of women think that they just can't do it because "they're just too busy", or even worse it gives them an excuse not to try.
You know I hate these excuses, because if you don't find time to take care of yourself then no one else will.

I know there are some circumstances out there that are beyond control, and some women are just naturally larger.
But, over my years I have seen many women beat genetics, and overcome hardships to improve their bodies and make them look and more importantly feel better.
Weight Loss Myth #1
I don't have enough time to get into shape, it takes too long. This one drives me crazy sometimes, everyone lives a hectic life if you don't make time for yourself no one will.
If you don't make time now, remember there may not be time later! It is also important to note that fat loss can begin to take place in as little as 20 minutes.
Weight Loss Myth #2
I'll just cut my calorie intake to like 1000/per day and won't eat any carbs that will do it! There are some major problems with low cal and no carb diets.
True its good to watch what you eat but if you severely hamper your diet like this you will deplete your energy reserve, and will deplete your muscle mass.
This will cause a huge rebound affect when you stop the diet!
Weight Loss Myth #3
I don't want to look like a man so I am not going to lift weights.
Out of all the top 5 female weight loss myths this one may be the biggest "excuse type" myth.
Ladies listen up, if your body was destined to look male you would have different parts in your pants! I don't have a better way to put it then that.
Yes it's true that you will build muscle, but trust me when I say the muscle will look good on you.
To build enough muscle for you to start looking like a man you will have to use heavy weights, so simply do high rep low weight training.
Weight Loss Myth #4
Cardio is the only way I will ever burn any fat off my body. If the previous myth was the biggest excuse type of the weight loss myths this one is the biggest misconception of the group!
Cardio is not the best way to burn fat and lose weight. There are better much more effective ways to lose weight that's for sure. The more intense your workout the harder your muscles work.
The harder your muscle work the more calories you burn. The more calories you burn the more weight you will lose.
Weight Loss Myth #5
I am far too old to lose any weight, I am destine to be fat I want you to know that this is simply not the case.
While it may become a bit harder to lose weight, you can do it and you will live a much more fulfilling life.
Trust me on this one, I see older people every day at the gym staying fit and active. Don't use this as an excuse to be a couch potato.
